By placing participants inside a life-sized pint of Guinness, we aimed to educate them about the intricate steps of the brewing process—roasting, nitrogen infusion, and surging—using sensory enhancements that made these concepts tangible and memorable.
APPROACH
Building the Pint
Our technical approach involved integrating sophisticated software and hardware to create a seamless interactive environment within a life-sized pint fabrication. Using TouchDesigner, we developed a user interface that responded to gestures, allowing participants to navigate through the brewing process interactively. We enhanced this experience with a sensory microprocessor that controlled environmental elements like heat, light, and motion, effectively simulating the different stages of beer production. This meticulous integration of technology ensured a comprehensive and captivating educational experience.

The Guinness Credentials featured an advanced setup encapsulated within a giant pint, where participants could engage with each stage of the Guinness brewing process. Interactive elements like heat waves from Dyson Fans during the 'Roasting' phase, nitrogen bubbles, and LED surges during the 'Nitrogen' and 'Surging' processes brought the technical aspects of brewing to life. This setup provided a hands-on learning experience, enhanced by multi-sensory elements like bubble dispensers and rotating platforms, offering a 360-degree immersive environment that deepened understanding and appreciation of the craftsmanship behind every pint of Guinness.
