In October 2021, Coldplay’s album "Music of the Spheres" made its global debut, propelled by Amazon Music to resonate worldwide, particularly in the UK, USA, Germany, and Japan. Our role encompassed web registration, creating a Kaotican (Coldplay’s unique language) Message Generator, and a dance photobooth featuring album characters. We orchestrated these services simultaneously across the four key cities, crafting an interactive and immersive launch experience that celebrated Coldplay’s cosmic journey, inviting fans to connect with the music in a novel and engaging way.

Our idea centered on a simultaneous, global release across multiple locations, mirroring "Music of the Spheres" album’s universal motif. We meticulously designed each interactive feature to reflect the album's concept, ensuring a seamless, immersive experience. This approach guaranteed smooth operations and a cohesive, memorable event from both the users’ and client's perspectives, embodying the album's cosmic theme.

Our approach to this project involved meticulously planning installations and activations to occur simultaneously across different countries, leveraging local teams for on-ground support. We engineered every aspect of the experience to be automated, from development to UX to design, minimizing the need for in-person assistance. This strategy ensured each activation seamlessly integrated into the visual dome setup in each country, providing a unified, immersive experience that transcended geographical boundaries.

We crafted a seamless web booking microsite for exclusive access to all four location of Coldplay's album launch events, ensuring a user-friendly reservation experience. Parallelly, we also launched a Kaotican language generator, allowing fans to convert messages into the album's alien script. These messages were then broadcast across the domes worldwide, deepening fan engagement with the theme of universal connection.

Dance with
Coldplay

Step into Coldplay's universe with our interactive dance booth, where an official album character guides participants through a dance tutorial set to the hit single "Higher Power." Following the tutorial, users dance alongside the alien in a lively session that’s recorded for sharing via QR scan. Designed to mirror the album's aesthetic, this installation was a standout success, drawing enthusiastic participation and creating memorable, shareable moments for fans.

The impact of the Coldplay "Music of the Spheres" project was overwhelmingly positive. Each launch event across the four locations unfolded seamlessly, garnering acclaim from our main collaborator, BMF, and even Coldplay themselves. The success of our installations, particularly the dance booth, was highlighted when rumors surfaced that Chris Martin, Coldplay's lead singer, personally tested it before the official launch. This endorsement underscored the project's excellence and the engaging, flawless execution of our team's efforts.
